Cloud Nine

Social Media Marketing

The Client - Founded by the creators of ghd, Cloud Nine is a premium hair brand. Their range of professional, salon standard styling tools is used to style top celebrities such as Kelly Rowland and can be found in exclusive salons around the globe.

The Problem - In early 2011, the Cloud Nine brand was in its infancy, budget was very precious, so every pound spent had to deliver a return. We were challenged to establish and grow their online presence, our targets were:

  • Build the Cloud Nine online brand
  • Establish a productive social presence
  • Drive visits to website
  • Increase online sales

Our Plan - In order to grow and develop the Cloud Nine brand online, we targeted key influential bloggers and commentators, stylists and models, as well as celebrities. Using their blogs, twitter feeds, and promoting giveaways and competitions, as well as actively commentating on style news. We were able to grow Cloud Nine’s reputation hugely, leading to a huge increase in brand awareness, commentary and ultimately sales.
We redesigned and reinvigorated the Cloud Nine Facebook, YouTube and Twitter feeds. We also developed “My Cloud” a social area which enabled integration of social and search. As “My Cloud” content was socially shared, it in turn improved search engine ranking, delivering website visits and sales.

I have not worked with a team who better understands social media and its integration into marketing.
